Rome, Vatican: Sistine Chapel closed



The Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, as well as Borgia Apartment and The Collection of Modern Religious Art in the Vatican, is currently closed for the preparation of conclave.
The date of which they open again hasn’t been announced yet.

Therefore, if you are visiting Rome/Vatican within days, please check the latest information of the country.

Rome: admission hours change



Two religious rites take place in Rome/ Vatican this weekend / next week.
Please keep in mind that, along with the rites, admission to some churches/cathedral will be limited.

Saturday, February 9th
Mass with members of Order of Malta
Where: Saint Peter's Cathedral, Vatican
Due to the Mass in the morning, entrance will open after noon.

Wednesday, February 13th
Ash Wednesday
Where: Sant Anselmo Church, Basilica of Saint Sabina
Due to the religious rites, entrance will close after noon.
