Vancouver: Winter Enjoyment within 30 min!

British Columbia is blessed with good amount of snow, dry and airy powder, and a mild climate. B.C.’s Whistler Blackcomb, as we saw earlier, is one of the most famous winter resorts around the world.

But what if you want to enjoy winter activities more conveniently?
What if vibrant night life, which only the big cities can offer, is another attraction for you?
And what if you want to enjoy both in a same day?

Well, that's why you will love 3 mountains in Vancouver: Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain, and Mount Seymour. All of them locate only 15 to 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver, and 2 of them are even reachable by public transportation.

Cypress Mountain
Cypress Mountain is 30 minutes by car from downtown Vancouver and provides the best quality snow, most vertical drop, most terrain, and most lifts of 3 mountains on the north shore of Vancouver.

Also Cypress is the most popular in the 3 mountains and is the best choice if you are an experienced skier.
Besides ski, there is 16km cross-country trail which attract 2,000 cross-country skier a day.

Mount Seymour
If you snowboard, Mount Seymour is your best choice. It is a “snowboard park”: has the best natural freestyle terrain, the largest terrain park, and the first inground halfpipe of the 3 mountains. Though Seymour is smaller compared to the other 2 mountains, the terrain is perfect for snowboarding. You will love the 100m and 17 degree halfpipe.
Because of the close proximity to downtown Vancouver (only 30minutes from downtown), Seymour offers extensive night riding as well.
