Spain, Valencia: Fallas de San Jose

One of the 3 biggest/best festivals in Spain: Falls de San Jose is around the corner.

Valencia welcomes the spring with huge flames, a lot of smoke, craziness of exploding firecrackers and tremendous joy.

From small to as huge as 30m/98ft tall, cheerful and colorful cardboard statues decollate squares and streets in Valencia. The statues (“ninots”) crafted by neighborhood organization with a lot of attention, time and cost, will delight the eye from March 15^th to 19^th, and will be set on fire on 19^th. So don’t forget to take pictures of your favorite ninots: no chance to see them again after the fest ends.
