Spain, Valencia: Fallas de San Jose

One of the 3 biggest/best festivals in Spain: Falls de San Jose is around the corner.

Valencia welcomes the spring with huge flames, a lot of smoke, craziness of exploding firecrackers and tremendous joy.

From small to as huge as 30m/98ft tall, cheerful and colorful cardboard statues decollate squares and streets in Valencia. The statues (“ninots”) crafted by neighborhood organization with a lot of attention, time and cost, will delight the eye from March 15th to 19th, and will be set on fire on 19th. So don’t forget to take pictures of your favorite ninots: no chance to see them again after the fest ends.

If you are wondering whether or not to visit Spain, or if you will be traveling other European countries during the Fallas de San Jose, don’t hesitate to book a flight to Valencia.

You will never regret your choice.
