Enjoy Carnivals in Spain

February is THE festive season of the year. Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Carnival in Nice, Carnival of Venice, or Mardi Gras in Sydney and New Orleans etc.

Well, don’t miss the carnivals in Spain. Carnival of Cádiz and of Tenerif is world’s famous.
And, good news is, you can enjoy gorgeous carnival even very near Barcelona.

Carnival of Cádiz
One of the best known carnivals in Spain. During the carnival, usually-relaxed Cádiz is filled with vivid colours, street music, stage performances, etc. People parade the old city of Cadiz in a variety of costumes and entire city radiates heat and energy.
However, differ from the other carnivals in the world, which is mostly about festival, the Carnival of Cádiz is famous for the satirical groups of performers called chirigotas. They sing about politics or topics in the news with, of course, wit and a bit of sarcasm.
Cádiz locates around 2 hours by train (about 10euros) or 1.5 hours by car from Seville.
So please consider enjoying Carnival or Cadiz if you are visiting the region.
